Your day, in full
An hour east along the coast, then up. The day begins gently: breakfast is taken in the Alanya mountains at a terrace restaurant with the Mediterranean laid out below like a map, the air already cooler than the shore you left behind.
From there, guests walk the wooden boardwalks of Sapadere Canyon — a slot canyon carved by the Taurus into sheer rock, with waterfalls threading down the walls to left and right as you go. The walkway runs a little under four hundred metres between the cliffs and ends at a small waterfall pool whose mountain-fed water is cold enough to gasp at. Swimming is optional; watching those who try it is not.
A short drive brings the group to Dim Cave, a 360-metre gallery of stalactites and stalagmites held at a constant 18°C — a natural cathedral of limestone, and the most welcome kind of air-conditioning the region offers. The pace inside is unhurried, the lighting soft, the photographs effortless.
Lunch is served on wooden platforms suspended over the Dim Çay itself, feet within reach of the current, trout grilled to order and salads passed down the table. There is time to swim in the river's natural pools, doze in the shade, or do nothing whatsoever. As the light lowers, the day closes where it spent its afternoon: a long dinner by the water, live acoustic music drifting over the river and lantern-light on the current, before the comfortable drive home along the coast.

- A full change of clothes for the evening by the water
The full concierge packing guide lives at What to Bring.
Know before you go
- The canyon boardwalk is walked at a steady, unhurried pace — there are handrails throughout and no rush at any point
- The river and canyon water is genuinely cold year-round; the Dim Çay's natural pools are the gentler of the two swims
- This day involves more walking than most on the programme — comfortable shoes matter more than anything else you pack
- Dinner is by the river, so the return to the hotel is later than usual — the coach ride home is a quiet, comfortable hour
