Your day, in full

The last full day of the programme keeps its daylight hours deliberately free: the pool, the beach, a final hammam, the shops of Side — or simply a long lunch and a longer nap. The main event waits for dark.

In the late afternoon, the coach heads west to Belek, home of Land of Legends — Türkiye's biggest theme-park destination, which after sundown becomes something else entirely. First, dinner: guests are booked into one of the resort's better restaurants for a proper Mediterranean dinner — not the buffet — with time to linger over it.

Then the group is walked to VIP-tier seats for the night show, and the superlatives begin earning their keep. Synchronised fountains rise forty metres into the dark. Projection mapping washes across a fairytale-castle façade. An illuminated parade glides down the lagoon while aerial acrobats and jetpack fliers work the air above it, and the pyrotechnics land on the beat of a live orchestral score. It is unashamedly big, and it is very well done.

Two nights ago at Aspendos, the week offered goosebumps. Tonight is the wide-eyed did-you-see-that. Both belong in the ten days — and the drive home is full of exactly that conversation.
